So, as previously noted, we escaped to Vegas for a few days to have a little fun. During our time away, several areas within southern California broke out in wildfires. The weather has been wacky – very windy, very dry and HOT. The air has that distinctive smell that signals one thing: fire.
According to the L.A. Times, the numbers look like this:
35,662 acres burned in three fires
894 homes and structures destroyed
38 firefighters and civilians injured
26,000 ordered to evacuate in O.C. area
Before writing or posting about anything wedding-related, I had to post a note to send positive thoughts and love to the individuals affected by these fires, the families that are homeless and the firefighters that are risking their lives.

The fires have been crazy! So sad, lots of prayers are definitely being sent out. The weather here is so strange. 80’s and 90’s in mid-november… not good.
