A few weeks ago I joined Twitter. By “joined” I mean that I opened an account and did absolutely nothing with it. This week, I have gotten a few email messages letting me know that I have a couple of Twitter followers (including the lovely Amy Jo at Bridechic). Oh joy! Now I have to figure out how this site works. I’ve added my picture and that’s it.

Also, how does this site work? So far it seems like an isolated Facebook status update mini-feed of some sort? 🙂

I use the site to communicate with others in my work field [marketing higher education, I’m nvanderson] and I find it super useful in that area! Anytime I ask a question, plenty are there to respond.
But I wouldn’t have any followers unless I was out there commenting on others’ questions, a lot like a blog. It’s all about the conversation, whereas FB status is really just a broadcast system;)
