Anthropologie Ate Me Alive

9 April 2010

After all of my super serious, text-heavy posts, I thought I'd dazzle you all with a lighter, more visually appealing post for Friday. Also, I'm hosting my very first blog giveaway on Monday. See you then!

----------------

I made the mistake of taking some Christmas money (Yes, I still hadn't spent it. Remember - I hoard gifts?) into Anthropologie. I was like, "Yay, it's Spring", and I got a little carried away.

I walked out somewhat disillusioned. I purchased a whole lot of cuteness, but I rarely spend this much on one shopping trip...especially in Anthropologie where I am magnetized to anything that isn't on sale. Guilt. Guilt. Guilt.

I also picked up an adorable cropped jacket perfect for Spring on SALE (woo hoo!) Sadly, I can't find it online. But rest assured, it doesn't disappoint.

I was eagle-eying this adorable tank, but I figured I better save it for another trip. Isn't it perfect for summer? You can wear it out with white pants or denim shorts for an afternoon boat ride or a lazy day at the park.

My wallet says, "Anthro, why you gotta be so meannn?"
My heart says, "When are we going back?"

Have a great weekend, everyone! Enjoy yourselves.

I've been eyeing that first white tunic for a while. Must. Restrain. Myself.

@michelle: Thanks!
@Mrs. HC: I'm going to be the devil on your shoulder and say, BUY IT! :) In my humble opinion, it is really versatile and can be worn as a layering piece or by itself on a sunny day. AND it matches everything! Have I convinced you yet? Hee hee.

That percussion cardi is super cute. And I love the stripes! So funny, I just went Anthropologie shopping today too. I didn't get as many cute things as you did, but I did order the hourglass surplice top in black. So pretty. Can't wait to get it in the mail! Anthropologie is so dangerous... to the wallet.

Haha, love it! Great finds Carly. Sadly I have to live vicariously through you since I'm really, really far from any Anthro and finding a place to live is trumping shopping for me.

Hi Carly... Just found your blog today. It's great, inspiring, refreshing, and real. I've read several past entries and you're quite a brave woman. I love that. :)

well.. about this post... I don't konw if it's a good or bad thing that we don't have Anthro here in Hawaii... I love that store so much, that if we had one here my bank account would break up with me! ha ha. My hubby on the other hand would "enable" every purchase. He loves shopping like no other! ha.

Hope you're having a beautiful Saturday.. lookin' forward to stopping by again. HUGS!

xx Love & Aloha

@Sharonlei: That is seriously one of the sweetest comments I have ever gotten on this blog! You made my day, and my weekend, for that matter :) Thanks for stopping by to read! I'm jealous that you live in Hawaii. Part of my family is from there, but I haven't been back since 2005 :( Such a beautiful and amazing place to live!
@junghwa: Awww, thanks so much! I'm heading over to your blog to check it out!
