I know I already wished you a happy weekend, but I’m back because I can’t end my blog week on such a weird, bodily functions-ish note.

———

Yes, it’s that time. I need new jeans.

Remember like five or six years ago when designer jeans were all the rage? All anyone wanted were Seven jeans? I really don’t feel like spending $200+ on anything right now. But if I found the right pair, I might bend a little.

While I am on the subject, I am not sold on this whole boyfriend jeans thing. I know Katie Holmes has been bumming around for like a year in “boyfriend jeans”, but are they flattering on ME? I’m not 5’10” with Tom Cruise’s stylist. For the record, I’m 5’6″ with an Asian stylist named Lawrence.

I suppose I will find out soon enough. I have been wearing the same two pairs of straight leg, stretch jeans I bought in the Brass Plum department of Nordie’s for the past year or more. That is borderline pathetic. I used to be such a jeans freak. I had like ten pairs of jeans at all times like any respectable L.A. girl.

Oooh, but I did buy the Levi’s denim leggings that LC is so graciously modeling below. I am obsessed with them, but they aren’t suited for every day wear.

Cute outfit you got there, LC. I think I’ll copy you. Oops, I already did.

So off I go this weekend on a search for some awesome every day, throw around jeans. I’ll let you know what I find.

Anyone have a favorite jeans brand? If you say Joe’s Jeans, I’ll have to shoot you. While I love them, my wallet doesn’t.

I'm currently liking Gap jeans…Long and Lean style to be exact. I have 2 of the exact same pair, so I guess I really like them! I like Lucky jeans too, but not as wallet friendly as Gap Outlet.

Not sure if you'll like this idea, but it worked for me. I coveted a pair of Anlo jeans I'd foolishly tried, despite the hefty price tag. I ended up looking on ebay and got the pair I wanted (new!) for a fraction of the cost. I didn't have the immediate gratification of buying when I first found them, but they were worth the wait. Good luck!

I have one pair of Joe's jeans that I love (sorry!) but they are my only pair and it's been two years and they are starting to wear thin! They are the petite sophisticate, but seeing as you are 5'6" (so jealous!) you probably don't need that style.
I'm probably not the best person to ask because I buy Forever 21 skinny jeans! So basically my wardrobe consists of the really expensive Joe's jeans and a bunch of pants that cost $9 each.

You know, I'm not sure who those boyfriend jeans look good on (except for Katie of course). I'm 5'10", and when I wear big loose boyfriend jeans I pretty much just look um… like a man.

I swear, every time I go to a big city (read: one that has a Nordstrom and a Saks), I make a deal with myself that if I find a pair of designer jeans that fit right, I'll buy 'em, and forget about the cost. Yeah well, Joes, 7 for All Man Kind, True Religion, Citizens of Humanity, J Brand… none of them fit me. At least, none of the cuts I've found. Sadness. The best jeans I can find for my body are the $30 Levis 515s from JCPenney. Which don't even fit that well, either. But at least they cover my butt.

I do have a pair of skinny jeans, but I can't bring myself to wear them with anything other than knee high boots. When i put them on with flats or heels, I think I look MUCH too bootylicious for public viewing. Hrm.

Guess we need Katie's stylist to come make some housecalls.

I am in love with my ReRock jeans from Express. They fit well and are super cute. And the best part is Express is constantly running buy 1 pair get 2nd pair 50% off!

I have had the best experience with jeans from Express! They usually last me YEARS, and not gonna lie to you – my ass looks fantastic in Express jeans! LOL! As for the whole boyfriend jean dilemma, although I love Katie Holmes, every time I see her in this type of ass-wear, I think her lower half looks like a hot mess. I just can't get behind that look, I'm afraid. Swim in the ocean or the pool, not your jeans, I say!

@Heidi: As you know, I took your advice and went to Gap!
@Kim: Thanks for the idea! That's great that you found a good deal on eBay 🙂 I'll try looking.
@Mo: You sound like me. I have a couple pairs of expensive jeans, but everything else is cheapo stuff. But hey, if they fit you well, who cares if they're cheap, right? 🙂
@Pink Heli: "I pretty much just look um…like a man." You crack me up! And I think you should try rocking the bootylicious skinnies. You are deliciously tall. Why not? 🙂
@LauraAnn: Ooh, good sale! I've bought a few pairs of Express jeans throughout the years. Maybe I should go check 'em out!
@Chicken Wing: LOL. Hilarious re: Katie Holmes' ass-wear. I agree with you 🙂
