Tuesday at the Laker Game

27 January 2011

The fashion at L.A. Laker games is interesting. It's basically a free-for-all to wear anything from clubbing gear to the most expensive duds. Everyone has their game faces on, and celebrity watching is a major priority. Big guys running back and forth with an orange ball? They come in at a close second to celeb gawking.

L and I usually watch the Lakers once a year. It's our thing.

Kobe played and this made me very happy.

I'm showing you what I wore to the game, because blogging about clothes is fun!

I opted for an edgier look, because it's a sporting event. Dresses and skirts aren't allowed unless you want to show your vajayjay to everyone in the front rows. You know, whatever floats your boat. I've been dying to wear this jacket that I bought online during a half off sale awhile back.

This is my "I'm hard core" look. Do I look intimidating? ;)

I paired the bomber jacket with this blouse to soften the look. Note to self: don't wear black polka dot bra under see through shirt. Oops!

See the remote in my hand? This is my second time using the remote shutter release that L bought me. That's why these pics are a bit...odd looking. I'm still learning...

Lastly, here is the outfit all pulled together. Those are my favorite boots in the world right now!

Good thing I looked presentable, because Denzel was there. Not that he would look twice at me or anything, but any woman in Denzel's presence better not be wearing yoga pants, right? It would be an insult to his handsomeness. At whatever age he is, he's still got it. And, yes, I'm pretending I'm on a first name basis with him.

Tuesday's Outfit:

Faux Leather Bomber Jacket {Tulle}

Stirrup Legging Jeans (Don't call them "jeggings" or the lady working at Gap Century City will knock you out. They're LEGGING JEANS! Ooooh, my bad, lady.) {Gap}

Buckled Biker Boot {Madewell}

Blouse {Anthropologie, no longer listed online}

Go Lakers!

I seriously heart all your outfits. I've never been to a Laker game in the 18+ years I lived in L.A., now I live in the Bay Area and have got no chance! I kinda think people dress up 'cuz they think they're gonna get "discovered" since so many celebrities and industry people go to games..

I have been looking for a faux leather jacket for months! This is perfect and I have to snatch one up. I always have a hard time finding the right jacket because I have small shoulders. Do you mind saying if it fit true to size?

@atout: It does fit true to size. Maybe a tad bit generous. I was nervous because this was my first Tulle purchase. I got an XS and it fits perfectly. I'm normally a size 2/4 and in jackets I'm either an XS or a S. I wanted this particular jacket to fit snug. Good luck :)

I really love your bangs - I wish I were brave enough to cut mine thick like yours but whenever I DO do the thin, wispy kind, I always end up pinning them back!
