Madewell Fall 2011: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

First off, I was overwhelmed by the responses to my new hair! Wow - you guys made my week with your sweet, sweet comments. I was extremely nervous before the chop began, but I decided to (1) trust my hairdresser and (2) remember that hair always grows back. I'm so glad you like the results! It's very light, and perfect for summer. I think I'll keep it! ;)

Onto another subject: Madewell's Fall 2011 Sneak Preview Lookbook. I got an email this morning alerting me to the Fall collection. There were some looks I loved, and others I didn't. Madewell has been one of my more recent favorite stores. It's a pricey place, but I've noticed that in-store sales are much, MUCH better than what is offered online.

Here are a few looks I wasn't feeling:

Plaid shirt stuffed under dress with man boots sans socks? Umm, NO.

Not everything looks better tied up in a red bow.

Grandpa chic.

Cute sweater, but those pants? Heck no.

Here are some looks I really loved:

That skirt will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

This reminds me of Claire Danes circa My So-Called life, but better. LOVE!

Chic.

Love everything about this.

Anyone else excitedly anticipating Fall? Ooooh, I can't wait!

  1. Wow... the 14/29 and 25/29 reminds me of Back to the Future! I should have saved my clothes from the 80's!
I totally agree on the plaid shirt dress debuckle. EW!
