The weekend got away from me, and I slipped up on my blogging. 🙁 I find it very, very difficult to schedule posts ahead of time. I’ve tried, but it appears that I just don’t work that way. If I sit and ponder over post topics, I lose interest and it becomes laborious. Normally I find pockets of time during my day (usually in the evening) to crank out a post. Do you schedule posts ahead of time or write when the mood strikes you?

This upcoming week is filled with a lot of mundane stuff. I’m going to finally try to get to my salon and chop my hair. Sorry I just left that hanging! I got busy with other things. I’m also thinking of scheduling a blood test with my doctor’s office for a 21 day progesterone level test. Any TTC (trying to conceive)/fertility friends out there had one? I guess it will help my doctors see if I ovulate or not. Is it worth taking the test? The last time I saw my doctor she was a little vague on whether I should come back in or not. She’s like, “Oh, the ovulation sticks only tell you when your LH surge is. It doesn’t tell us if you actually ovulated or not.”

WTF?

Then why the F am I forking out thirty dollars a month for those things? *facepalm*

I've always just written as the mood strikes me and not bothered with trying to schedule things. Writing an entry tends to be so laborious at times that I only manage to write one at a time every week or so anyway so scheduling things has never been an issue… and on the rare days that I do manage to write more than one, I tend to just end up posting right away.

I've been trying to make time to write more (afterall, I do want to do this for a living at some point soon), but I usually only save a post if I'm not sure how I want to say something and need to sleep on it.

I tend to schedule posts when I get really inspired. Then I crank 2-3 out (or at least parts of them) and schedule about 1 a week. This happens about once a month, so I never get a ton, but I scheduled at least 3 posts a week when I participated in Nablopomo in November.

looking forward to seeing your new haircut!

I haven't done the day 21 test but I did the day 3 one and everything came back normal. They told me to do the day 21 test but I haven't had the time yet. Plus after everything else they have found out, I don't really see the point.

My doc does the 21 day tests on me because of my PCOS. One time my progesterone levels were inconclusive (8ish — need to above 10 to say for sure that you ovulated, but you may have ovulated if the levels are above 8), and the other they were way low, like under 1. 🙁 Since we're trying clomid this month, the progesterone test will help the doctor know whether or not I'm responding to the drugs.

I had my blood test done on day 16 to make sure that I was ovulating.. My doctor was concerned because my cycles vary too much. You need to find out if you're even ovulating.. then the ovulation tests will help you find out the exact day that you are ovulating, in case it changes from month to month.

@Latte Love: I've been finding myself doing that – writing out 2 or 3 bits and pieces of posts. NaBloPoMo is making me think ahead! 🙂

@shutterbug: I don't really see the point, either. We are going to wait until we talk to the specialist before doing more testing. Thanks for sharing your perspective!

@writtenbliss: I was reading online about how important day 21 testing is when you're on Clomid. Good luck! xoxo

@Mrs. B-P: Yeah, see this is why I'm kinda annoyed with my doctor. Shouldn't we have taken the Day 21 test awhile ago, before I spent $$$ on the sticks? Grrrr!

Hi Carly… I was surfing the Web when I saw your post. You wrote: " I find it very, very difficult to schedule posts ahead of time. " I think it's cumbersome to find which posts are interesting online, schedule it a few hours ahead and you find yourself spending 1-2 hours a day to make sure your accounts are updated, not to mention doing it everyday. This issue has been a nightmare for me that I created a fix for it last year. I wanted to spend more time listening and talking to people for real, but all that posting has drained me of time and energy. Now, I can only smile… as the tool I've created do away with all those. I just spend 30 minutes to choose which blogs or RSS updates I want my peers to see – and that's for a week's worth of posts… and this gets spread randomly, as if I'm posting the updates myself ( even when I'm sleeping ). With Google+ and more to come, just how can you really keep up?
