I am going to be switching gears a bit here. I decided I will not talk much more about IVF on the blog. I shared everything I wanted to share in the posts I put up, and since any subsequent treatments will likely not occur for a very long time, I am basically done posting about it. But, if you have any questions about our IVF experience, please feel free to email me at carlysdreams at hotmail dot com, and I would be happy to respond to the best of my ability.

Next order of business. I am looking to update my blog design. It has been years and I think it’s time. Anyone know of any good, decently priced web/blog designers? I had this fleeting thought that I would do it myself, which is a terrifying thought. I need something simple and functional with a splash of modern. I am not too picky. Let me know if you have any leads or if you are a blog designer looking to take on new projects.

Lastly, there will be a giveaway on the blog! I don’t know what it is yet, but I promise it will be something good. I am not trying to lure in any new readers with shiny prizes, but rather I want to thank the old guard; the loyal friends of The Less than Domestic Goddess. So, this giveaway is only going to be open to people who really read this blog (based on the honor system…because I can’t possibly know everyone who reads silently). More on the giveaway to come…

I think that is it in terms of housekeeping matters. How is everyone doing? I feel like it’s been awhile since I asked everyone that.

I don't know what your redesign budget is, but I had mine done by 733 design and found it to be pretty reasonably priced and a really enjoyable process. Good luck!

A Web Designer that I love (that are EXTREMELY affordable) is Brian Farrar. He's done some artwork for me (none for my blog, but he's done others – one example is this header -http://befarrar.blogspot.com/p/graphic-design.html). He can really do whatever you want and he'll help you brain storm! Here's his web page. Let him know I recommended you! 🙂 http://befarrar.blogspot.com/2012/09/website-update.html

    Check him out. 🙂

Thing are okay here. Adoption meeting is tomorrow (emailed you about how all that is going) and getting back on the work out train! First Zumba class in a week today, and I want to register for a Disney 1/2 marathon! (Could totally use a racing buddy if you're game and you and the hubbs want a vacation! I'll probably be going solo as we expect My Sailor won't be around.)

I had Jenn from http://www.munchkinland-designs.com/ do my blog design. Check her out. She was great to work w/ and I love what she did!

I just started a blog (though I have been a reader of yours since WeddingBee!) and don't know much about blog design. I would love to see a post on this topic once you decide what you're going to do! Hope you are well. Chin up 🙂

I am way to cheap for blog designs and have just been using free wordpress ones, I totally dream of having a really cool one done for me one day though!

Hey there! Thank you for sharing so much about your IVF process. Joy (Poodle) does blog design as well as some other former Bee bloggers. They might be a good resource.

Joy of How Joyful Designs (Mrs. Poodle) is amazing and very talented and affordable!

I'm such a lurker on your blog and rarely comment, so I just wanted to say hello again and thank you for your raw honesty about infertility, IVF, marriage and life!

I've been going back and forth between redesigning my blog on my own or getting someone else to do it. Mine had been the same for awhile now and I'm ready for something new but I am not sure I want to commit the time to redoing it. So once you find someone, I hope you post about them! 8)

Are you on WordPress or blogger? I feel like there are many more affordable blogger designers out there or I just unwittingly have expensive taste! But I used a semi configured theme from studio press and they have some good options.

I hate to be a bummer, but Joy is on maternity leave right now so she's not an option at the moment. Not sure when she's reopening her queue either. (I know, it made me endlessly sad too!) I think you're on Blogger, so what about going back to BlushInk?

Other than that, I don't have any advice. I hired someone without a recommendation and it's not going well. 🙁
